Calpurnia Virginia Tate is such a convincing voice, and one close enough to home for me, that I really enjoyed this book. It is a simple enough story, but a beautiful one of a girl growing up and growing to know herself by getting to know her grandfather. It is well written, doesn’t speak down to its audience, and flows easily from page to page and scene to scene. Well worth the read!
