I’m not sure it lives up to the hype, but this was a pretty good book. Like some of her blog readers, apparently, I would have preferred less coarse language, but I guess it was supposed to be authentic. I really appreciated the tidbits about Julia Child’s life story, and the descriptions of cooking disasters and triumphs were what keep me from putting the book down before the end several times. Worth reading if you like cooking, but there are no doubt better books out there. I don’t think this one will make it into the annals of the classics.
