This is a great intro to a lot of different areas of parenting, focusing on alternative approaches to dealing with everything from childbirth through schooling and all the little challenges in between. I found it particularly useful for the sections on natural foods and medicines, which I knew little about. The resource list at the end of the book seems thorough to me (I wouldn’t know if it wasn’t!) and so I found it a good starting point for further research. The sections themselves focus on giving a general introduction, so there were only a few parts which are detailed enough to implement without further research. As an introduction, this book is great, but don’t expect it to be the end of your search for information on any natural living topic.
